Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ReplyIsland (“ReplyIsland”, “we”, “us”). ReplyIsland is a sole proprietorship based in New York, operated by its owner; it is not a corporation or LLC. “You” means the business that signs up and the person signing up for it. By starting a trial, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Automatic renewal summary
- Free trial: 14 days. A card is required, and nothing is charged during the trial.
- When the trial ends, your plan starts and renews automatically until you cancel: Starter $24.99 every month or $249.90 every year; Done-for-you $49.99 every month or $499.90 every year. Monthly plans add a one-time $99.00 setup fee on the first charge.
- To avoid any charge, cancel before the trial ends. To stop future charges, cancel before your next renewal date.
- Cancel any time online through our manage or cancel subscription link, or by emailing hello@replyisland.com.
1. Who can use ReplyIsland
ReplyIsland is a service for businesses. You must be at least 18 and the owner of the business or authorized to act for it, including managing its Google Business Profile.
2. The service
ReplyIsland drafts replies to your Google reviews, sends them to you for approval, and, depending on your plan, posts approved replies for you, sends review requests, provides QR review cards, and sends a monthly report. Plan features are described on our pricing page. We may improve or change features over time, but we won't materially reduce what your paid plan includes during a period you've already paid for.
3. Free trial
- New customers get a 14-day free trial, one per business. A payment method is required to start it.
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything, including the setup fee.
- If you don't cancel, your card is charged automatically when the trial ends, at the plan price you chose plus the setup fee on monthly plans.
- We may end a trial early if it's being misused (for example, repeated trials for the same business).
4. Billing and automatic renewal
- Your subscription renews automatically every month (monthly plans) or every year (annual plans) at the then-current price for your plan until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and charged to the payment method you provide. Prices are in US dollars. If sales tax applies, it's added and shown on your invoice.
- Monthly plans include a one-time $99.00 setup fee, billed with the first payment after the trial. It's waived on annual plans.
- Right after you sign up, we email you a copy of these renewal terms, including the price, how often you'll be charged, and how to cancel. Please keep it.
- For annual plans, we'll email you a reminder 15 to 45 days before each renewal, with instructions for canceling.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still can't be collected, we may pause or end the service.
5. Price and term changes
If we raise your price or make another material change to your subscription terms, we'll email you between 5 and 30 days before the change takes effect. If you're charged a higher price, you can cancel within 14 days after that first higher charge and we'll refund the unused part of that billing period on a pro-rated basis.
6. Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time, online, through our manage or cancel subscription link (also in our site footer and emails), or by emailing hello@replyisland.com. We'll confirm by email.
- Cancellation stops all future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- If you added us as a Manager on your Google Business Profile, we'll stop posting when you cancel, and you can remove our access in your Google settings.
7. Refunds
Because you can try the service free for 14 days first, payments are generally non-refundable, and we don't give partial refunds for unused time after you cancel. Exceptions: we'll refund as described in section 5 after a price increase, where the law requires a refund, or if we fail to provide the service you paid for. If something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right where we reasonably can.
8. Your responsibilities
- The information you give us about your business (hours, policies, contact details) is accurate.
- You're responsible for replies posted under your business name. Review drafts before approving them, and only turn on auto-approve if you're comfortable with that.
- If you give us a customer list, you have the right and any required permission to email those people, and you'll tell us about anyone who asked not to be contacted.
- You'll keep your login links and approval emails private.
9. Acceptable use
You won't use ReplyIsland, or ask us, to:
- write, buy or post fake reviews, or reviews by owners, staff or their families;
- offer discounts, gifts or anything of value in exchange for reviews;
- ask only happy customers for reviews (“review gating”), or discourage unhappy customers from posting;
- pressure, threaten or pay anyone to change or remove a review, or flag honest reviews just because they're negative;
- post replies that are false, harassing, discriminatory, or that reveal a customer's private information (such as health details or what they bought, if sensitive);
- send spam or break email, privacy or consumer protection laws; or
- attack, overload, scrape or try to break into the service, or resell it without our permission.
We may refuse a request, edit a draft, or suspend the service if we believe it would break these rules.
10. Google's review policies
We follow Google's Maps user-contributed content policy and the FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, and you agree to as well. Details are on our review policy page. ReplyIsland is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google controls its platform and can change its features, policies or access at any time, which may affect the service. We're not responsible for actions Google takes, such as removing reviews or replies or suspending a profile.
11. Access to your Google profile
On the Done-for-you plan, you may add us as a Manager on your Google Business Profile so we can post approved replies. We use that access only for the service, and you can remove it any time. We won't change your business details, hours, photos or other settings without asking you first.
12. AI-generated drafts
Reply drafts are written with the help of AI and reviewed by a person for 1-2 star and sensitive reviews. AI can make mistakes, misread a review, or sound wrong for your business. Drafts are suggestions, not legal or professional advice. Never rely on a draft to respond to a legal, health, safety or discrimination complaint without checking it yourself.
13. Content and ownership
You keep ownership of your business information, customer lists and the replies posted for your business. You give us permission to use that content only to provide and improve the service for you. Once you approve a draft, the reply is yours to use. We own the ReplyIsland website, software, templates and brand. If you send us suggestions, we can use them without owing you anything.
14. No guarantees
We can't promise any particular star rating, number of reviews, search ranking, customer response or sales result. Except as stated in these terms, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows: (a) we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and (b) our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
16. Indemnity
You'll defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and reasonable legal costs brought by third parties (including Google, your customers or reviewers) that arise from information or customer lists you gave us, replies you approved or asked us to post, or your breaking these terms or the law.
17. Suspension and termination
You can cancel any time (section 6). We can suspend or end the service if you break these terms, don't pay, or if continuing would be unlawful or break Google's policies. We'll tell you by email first unless it's urgent. If we end the service without cause, we'll refund any prepaid fees for the unused period. After the service ends, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please email us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally. If we can't, any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for material changes we'll email active customers before they take effect (and give the notice described in section 5 for price changes). If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies to you. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
20. Other terms
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the review policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. You can't transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it if the business is sold or reorganized (for example, into an LLC). Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as outages at Google or our providers. We may send notices to the email on your account.
