Our review policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
Reviews only matter because customers trust them. We help businesses respond to reviews and ask for more of them, and we do it in a way that follows Google's policies and the FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule.
What we do
- Draft replies to every review, positive or negative, for the owner to approve.
- Invite every customer to leave an honest review, in the same way, through QR cards, receipt links or email.
- Keep replies short, specific and polite, and suggest taking complaints offline so the owner can make things right.
- Have a person check every draft for 1-2 star reviews or anything sensitive before the owner sees it.
What we never do
- No review gating. We never ask “were you happy?” first and send only happy customers to Google, or steer unhappy customers away from leaving a public review.
- No incentives. No discounts, freebies, contests or anything of value in exchange for a review.
- No fake reviews. We don't write reviews, post reviews for owners, staff or family, or buy reviews.
- No suppression. We don't pressure reviewers to change or remove reviews, and we don't flag honest reviews just because they're negative.
- No private details. Replies never reveal anything about a customer that they didn't share publicly, such as health, legal or account information.
- No scraping or bots. We don't scrape Google or automate logged-in Google accounts. We post only through access the owner grants us.
Requests we'll turn down
If a customer asks us to do any of the above, we'll say no and explain why. It protects their business: Google can remove reviews, show warnings on a profile, or restrict a business that breaks these rules, and the FTC can fine businesses for fake or suppressed reviews.
